Kedarkantha Trek Distance


To be a part of the Kedarkantha Trek, you need to first reach Dehradun. From here, you will be driving to Sankri. Therefore, your overall distance of Kedarkantha trek will also be inclusive of your travel distance between Dehradun to Sankri. Dehradun shows excellent connectivity to almost all major Indian cities through air, road, and rail. So, reaching Dehradun won’t that troublesome for you. 1. Distance in km




As said earlier, your Kedarkantha trek distance shall be inclusive of the distance between Sankri and Dehardun. This distance accounts for 200 km. to cover this distance, you will be driving via road from Dehradun to Sankri. By private transfer, you will reach Sankri within a duration of 6 to 7 hours. Once at Sankri, you need to cover a 31 km trek distance to reach Kedarkantha peak. If you count your entire range from Dehradun to Kedarkantha peak, it turns out to 231 km. As you won't be covering full distance within a day, your trekking guide will instruct you about the daily target breaks. You just need to follow his instructions religiously.

2. No. of days required to complete the trek



To cover an entire distance between Dehradun and Kedarkantha Peak, you will have to invest in 5 nights and 6 days. On the first day, you will be travelling from Dehradun to Sankri by road to cover a distance of 200 km. Your actual trekking starts from Sankri and ends there itself. Towards your trekking route, you will be climbing different heights before you reach the final summit. Upon your arrival at Sankri, you will be briefed about your 6 days and 5-night Kedarkantha trek itinerary. Your Kedarkantha Trek package with Thrillophilia shall be inclusive of Alpine Tent Stay.
